How stressful PI planning turned into a pleasant experience
We introduced SAFe® at SIX Financial Information in 2017, and currently, all our software developments are integrated in one of five Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
In my role as a requirements engineer on my third SIX SAFe project, I have developed several methods over the last five years that have had a positive impact on both the development team and the involved stakeholders.
One of my favorite methods, „Feature Teams“, was created as a solution to very specific challenges that our team faced when I first started at SIX. Over time, PI planning transformed from two very stressful days into a smooth experience for the entire team. The common thread among all these methods is good feature preparation, which helps a lot with our complex software and business problems. In this presentation, I will explain how each method works and how I apply them in my daily work, using real-world examples.
